ECash Direct offers account holders the use of debit cards for deposit and withdrawal. Debit card funds are available for immediate use and withdrawals are permitted in excess of original deposits. (See Transaction Terms Summary in the application for current terms.)

When registering your debit card for use, the following information MUST match:

• The mailing address you provided upon your account registration must match your debit card statement billing address; and,
• Your full name must match the name on the debit card. Do not use initials or nicknames in any account.

Accessing the Register/Change Debit Card window

You must register your debit card with ECash Direct in order to deposit funds by debit card. You can do this by either:

1. From the Cashier main menu by clicking on the Register/Change Debit Card button; or,
2. From the Debit Card Deposit screen by clicking on the Change/Register Card button.

Registering your Debit Card

Now that you are at the Register/Change Debit Card window, you need to enter several pieces of information to register your debit card:

1. Debit Card Type (Laser, Delta, Solo, Maestro, or Visa Debit)
2. Debit Card Number
3. Expiry Date (month, year)
4. Issue Number
5. Start Date

Processing Rules

Debit card registration generally takes one minute to complete. Please note, during this registration process, a transaction will be authorized to your debit card. This transaction is automatically debited back to your debit card. Some banks may show this charge while others do not. Depending on your bank the funds should be available back to your card within 2-5 business days.

Security Information

At ECash Direct we continue to provide the highest level of security for our customers when depositing money on-line.

A new initiative has been put into place by MasterCard and Visa to further protect on-line transactions called MasterCard SecureCode and Verified by Visa.

These both work in a similar way and protect the card holder with a secret code/password against unauthorized use of your card when you deposit money online.

If your card qualifies for either MasterCard SecureCode or Verified by Visa you may be prompted to either register or enter your security details at the card registration or deposit confirmation page.

Currency Conversion

For Credit/Debit Cards, we provide you with the option of paying in your own currency.

We provide a competitive exchange rate, presented upfront in the payment method interface. Should you choose to pursue this service, the transaction will be processed on your payment method immediately using the exchange rate provided. In case you would like the payment provider to perform the currency exchange for you, the transaction will be posted to your card when processed by your issuing bank while the exchange rate and any additional fees will be determined by your issuing bank.
